“I don’t want to lose interest or tire anyone. My mixed media pieces have layers of information. I give my portraits their own presence, capturing the essence of each person. When people return I hope they learn more during the second viewing. Everything about the human being inspires me. Real life has always been more interesting. There are hidden complexities in the art that can be similar to getting to know a person." -Nikia M Kigler About the CreatorGrowing up in a military family Nikia Kigler had the opportunity to travel and interact with people from different backgrounds which greatly impacts her work and personal desire to continue exploring and learning through others.
